Casa Philippa - Where & What to do

TODI is a beautiful medieval walled town which has a wealth of history wrapped up in it and has been consistently voted the world's most livable-in town. It contains several beautiful churches and the main piazza usually has a market or an occasional antique fair at the weekend, the most famous of which is held in April, and in August/September there is a national crafts fair. There are several excellent restaurants in Todi itself and the surrounding area.

ASSISI the home of St. Francis, is Umbria's most famous town and one of it's loveliest. It has wonderful architecture and many beautiful churches containing 13th and 14th century frescoes.

ORVIETO famous for its superb wine, has a beautiful Duomo (cathedral), one of Italy's greatest. The Duomo is visible for miles around and the richness and beauty of its sculptural detail is simply breathtaking. Orvieto has an excellent selection of lovely shops and there are also tours of various cellars where you can sample the local wines.

LAKE TRASIMENO the fourth largest lake in Italy, is the Umbrian Riviera. It has a beach and water sports and there are also golf courses near to the lake.
